Woman’s Portrait Will Appear on the $10 Bill (NYT)

For the first time ever, the U.S. Treasury will put a woman’s face on paper currency — the $10 bill. Alexander Hamilton will lose his top spot and a woman (she must be dead) will replace him. Harriet Tubman won the popularity contest for nominees on social media, but there are other contenders. Who it will be is still TBD, but the new bill will debut in 2020 — 100 years since women received the right to vote. #TheNew10
