Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is looking for a digital-savvy individual with excellent writing skills, a panache for content marketing, and a general interest in travel and hospitality, to join our communications team. This individual will help project manage and coordinate posts for our blog, Life is Suite, as well as additional administrative duties in our department.
Source and license all imagery for Kimpton’s content marketing team including the management of stock photos, Kimpton Visual Library, and outreach to third-party business.
Partner with digital marketing to manage Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) for the blog to create static, mobile optimized content for reliable performance.
Write SEO-optimized meta-descriptions and creative, quippy copy for blog posts on our social media channels.
Regularly audit the communication team’s press hits through a proprietary PR software analytics platform.
Monitor blog distribution channels and identify opportunities for additional synergy and optimization.
Disseminate content to stakeholders on a regular basis.
Conduct analytical projects to improve blog strategies and distribution tactics.
Assist in managing and updating Kimpton’s content calendar.
Qualified candidates will have at least 3+ years of communications, digital or marketing experience.
Stellar writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our brand’s various types of content.
2-3 years of marketing and content creation experience.
Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with moving parts.
Basic understanding of HTML and SEO.
An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize/scale blog marketing strategies and tactics.
Familiarity with tools and platforms such as WordPress and Google Analytics.
