    Etsy employees are eligible for 26 weeks of fully paid leave when they become a parent through birth or adoption, regardless of their gender, country of residence or family circumstance. (Some countries are allowed more than 26 weeks.)

    Benefits for Working Moms & Families

    Human Resources and managers work with employees to make sure they are able to take the time they need, even if this requires leaves of absence. HR reaches out to women who are returning to work after their leave to help them re-acclimate to being back at work full-time after the birth of a child.

    We have grown our programming and practices around returning to work after becoming a parent, and to that end have started a new mothers group and coaching specific to new parents.

    Mother’s Group: The mother’s group meets for monthly lunches to discuss their experiences, and HR is always open to feedback to help make their transition back to work a pleasant one. We have several comfortable Mother’s Rooms for new moms who need to nurse. Our Parents email group is also a great place for sharing resources and advice.

    Coaching for New Parents: The New Parent Coaching program supports Etsy employees who are starting or growing their families. We provide coaching for new parents to ease some of the career stress that can accompany these transitions, and ultimately help us retain our amazing staff.
