Meet our Founders
As luck would have it, a simple post for a nanny-share partner on a San Francisco neighborhood listserv reconnected two old college friends and set them on a path – as working moms – to founding Maybrooks.com.
Stacey Brooks Delo, Founder
Journalist. Connector. Passionate believer in asking for what you need to strike the right balance for yourself in the workplace.
In her life before maybrooks.com, Stacey helped build the video team at The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, working as both correspondent and producer. She helped launch one of the Journal’s groundbreaking live video programs, “Digits,” anchoring and covering the day’s technology news. Since 2007 she has penned Discussion Divas, a popular online resource that helps busy women keep up with the news. Stacey graduated from Northwestern University and holds a Masters from American University. Her great-grandmother, May Brooks, is the namesake of maybrooks.com. Debi Gunders Ryan, Co-founder
Sales & Marketing Guru. Connector. Passionate believer in the need to shift the paradigm for working moms.
Prior to helping found maybrooks.com, Debi founded ProudPlanet, LLC., a consulting firm providing sales, business development and marketing services for solar power, renewable energy, and related environmentally focused organizations. After a decade in marketing for various tech companies, Debi switched her attention to the growing solar and cleantech market, joining Berkeley-based PowerLight as Director of Marketing. Acquired by SunPower Corp in 2007, Debi later helped the market-leader brand itself throughout the US, Europe and Asia-Pac in multiple senior marketing roles. In 2009, Debi moved into sales & strategic project development where she worked closely selling private and public enterprise accounts large-scale, commercial solar power solutions. Debi graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Communications. Debi lives with her husband and two children in Alameda, Calif. @debigryan, @maybrooksjobs
